Hey (free) 03:41
The lights go round All night long They chase the whores in the street They chase the boys in the bars They sing silent hymns They say oh my god Well it's a long long way from the place we call home Hey, hey, hey, hey! [Chorus] They say la la la La la la la la la la Hey, hey, hey, hey! You're just the thing Like a diamond ring It makes my little heart sing La la la la la Well we're a long long way from the place that we call home Hey, hey, hey, hey! [Chorus] The lights go down Someone change me Someone save me From all the lies, the drugs, the gods, the guns The pain, the thugs, the broke down love The lies, the drugs, the gods, the guns Well we're a long long way from the place that we call home Hey, hey, hey, hey! [Chorus]

Burnt Out Sunday (free) 03:52
Burnt out on Sunday Nothing comes free She called on Monday morning But not for me Yesterdays flooded Red like the ocean tide Lay down my lover Whisper little dirty white lies Look at this my blue eyed Monday Don't pretend my blue eyed girl Look at this my blue eyed Monday Shake your fists but it won't do any good Yesterday's flooded Dark like the deepest sea Lay down my lover Do good to me Look at this my blue eyed Monday Don't pretend my blue eyed girl Look at this my blue eyed Monday Shake your fists but it won't do any good Lick my lips, shake my hips And go down into it Like my lips, shake my hips And go down...

Awake in My Arms (free) 03:59
Lie awake Awake in my arms, it's gray All over the morning, All over our bodies Do it to me that way, yeah Things you say Say when we are wide awake 4:30 in the morning Tell me what you're thinking Baby you amaze me, yeah [Chorus] Darling, listen to my heart beat One more cup of coffee Then we'll go our separate ways Maybe it's love for an hour or two but No one's gonna put their chains on you Break me baby Make me feel the deepest pains All over my body Break it to me softly Tear my heart in two Nothing stays The same it's always changing, yeah Changes without warning, Same ol' love story Just a different name [Chorus] Lie awake Awake in my arms, it's gray All over the morning, All over our bodies Do it to me that way, yeah

about

"Very little in music excites me more than a fiery vocals coming from a bad girl. Think Polly Jean Harvey, Joan Jett, etc. That sense of angst, so true, so guttural can often draw you in and make the listener feel her presence, her pain, her desires. We have that here in spades..." - Billy Suede, The Boy with the Thorn in His Side

Clinical Trials is the electro-grunge offspring of Somer Bingham, a self-produced musician whose sun-drenched childhood in boring but beautiful Florida did nothing to quell her inner angst. She migrated north to seek bleaker pastures, finding trouble in the big city before eventually settling in Brooklyn, NY.

Music came after severe heartbreak left her bitter, without purpose, and in search of the most extravagant and difficult means of making her ex jealous, i.e. by becoming a rock star.

The sound of Clinical Trials is influenced by Nirvana, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Ladytron, Sonic Youth, Depeche Mode, Ayn Rand, long walks on an imaginary beach, and Russian literature. Bingham's sonic goal is to meld her unhealthy Kurt Cobain obsession with dirty synthesizers and distorted beats - and she finds success on the debut EP "In the Wake of the Digital Afterlife," which was digitally released on January 1, 2010.

Bingham is now joined by Cici Harrison on the drums, forming an all-female grungy live show that proves why duos are just so hot right now.
